I read about the death of Richard Mills, the Times photographer working in Harare with huge shock and sadness yesterday.
A decent, genuine gentleman, I'm not surprised that so many attended his funeral in Belfast yesterday.
My most heartfelt condolences to his wife Zoe and son, Finn.
I'm no more courageous than anyone else.
I just feel that photography is important.
And I will do what is required to show what is happening.
I have a sense of the ultimate—death.
And sometimes I must say, "To hell with that."
Larry Burrows.
